Centacare is committed to supporting and improving the wellbeing of people with intellectual disability and their families.

We provide numerous programs including high quality care, accommodation and support for adults with intellectual disability, as well as respite and recreation services for all ages. 

Our safe and enjoyable weekend and school holiday respite services for young people provide access to a wide variety of community activities. We also offer activity-based daytime programs based on individual needs, interests and lifestyle choices. 

In addition, we provide support for independent living, helping people with intellectual disabilities to manage household tasks, engage with the community, and develop skills to maintain their independence.

Services are provided within the Adelaide metropolitan area and Whyalla region only.

Centanet
Centanet provides a day options service for adults with intellectual disabilities. The program is based around individual needs, interests and lifestyle choices.  It consists of a combination of centre based and community activities.

Independent Living Program
Independent Living Program operates over 7 days, with flexible hours. The program enables individuals with an intellectual disability to receive in-home support, while living in their own choice of accommodation. Clients receive individualised flexible quality care that assists them with all the tasks of daily living, so the client can live life as a valued and contributing member of their community. Strong focus is maintained on skill development for increased independence.

Karinya Cottage
Karinya Cottage offers supported accommodation to two male adults and one female adult with intellectual disability and some physical disability.

Kolbe Cottage
Kolbe Cottage provides weekend and school holiday respite for children and adolescents between 5 and 18 years of age with intellectual disability. The service aims to provide safe and enjoyable stays for individuals in a holiday-like atmosphere.

Lara Cottage
Lara Cottage meets the needs in every way, of four clients with physical and intellectual disabilities to live within the community in their shared home.

Lumiere
Lumiere is an accommodation service for four ladies with multiple/severe disabilities.

Northern Respite Services operating from Auricht House
Northern Respite service offers respite services for clients with disabilities aged from 13 – 40. Opportunities that are offered by the service include outings that include, sleep over’s, camp weekends, meals out, social interactions and activities.

Tamana House
Tamana House is supported accommodation for five clients with intellectual disabilities.

Yoorana
Centacare and Minda Incorporated providing a centre-based respite service provides short term overnight respite for adults with intellectual disability.
