Program Objectives
Centacare Mentor Services (CMS) provides one on one and group based outreach support to young people aged 6 – 30 across the Adelaide region. Our geographical boundaries go up to and include Kapunda (North), Murray Bridge (East) and Aldinga (South).The program aims to address a broad range of key issues and barriers and develop positive relationships outside the family unit through a range of structured activities.

The Mentoring Program will:
- Enhance dignity and human worth
- Support independence, personal control and development of new skills to lead to a sense of fulfilment, self worth and a chance to achieve personal potential
- Build on social inclusion, enhance community participation and citizenship
- Provide respite for the family

Activities may include social and recreational outings; accessing community groups and resources; teaching independent living skills; assisting with educational and/or employment endeavours; or just spending time together informally.

Eligibility
This is a fee for service program targeted at young people aged 6 - 30 across the Adelaide region up to and including geographical boundaries of Kapunda (North), Murray Bridge (East) and Aldinga (South). The mentoring service block is tailored to individual client needs and for this reason will vary in delivery time and method.  All mentoring sessions require one paid compulsory introductory session with mentor and one further block each of 3 hours duration.

The service is located at 252 Port Road Hindmarsh and provides outreach services.
