Our Services - Personal Helpers & Mentors Service


The Personal Helpers & Mentors service aims to provide increased opportunities for recovery for people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness. We work together to overcome social isolation and increase community connections.

Support might include accessing appropriate services, exploring community activities or helping individuals get relationships with family and friends back on track. The focus is on both the recovery journey and identifying individual's strengths and interests to see what people can do.

ELIGIBILITY:
The Personal Helpers & Mentors Program assists people aged 16 years and over whose ability to manage their daily activities is severely limited by mental illness although formal diagnosis is not required.

Centacare has Personal Helpers and Mentors Programs in both Salisbury and Murray Bridge. To be eligible for services the applicant must reside in one of the postcodes of these sites.
