It’s going to be a big year at Centacare’s Kolbe Cottage which is about to get a complete facelift, with a new sensory room, outdoor space and open-plan living area.

Renovation of the plympton-based service starts next month. Kolbe provides short-term respite stays for children and young people with an intellectual disability.

A big thanks to Catholic Charities which raised more than $12,000 for the project through its annual golf day, held recently at Adelaide Shores Patawalonga Golf Course. Pictured is Annie O’Neill, Catholic Charities Manager, and Centacare’s Lauren Lo Basso, Assistant Executive Manager of Disability Services.

Thanks to the sponsors of the event, the Whelan Family and Southern Cross Care, and the Catholic Charities Golf Day Committee, especially Peter McCarthy and Michael Griffin.
