Innovative Community Action Networks (ICAN) provides holistic case management and accredited alternative learning options for young people aged 10 to 19 years who are disconnected from or at risk of disengaging with education.
Our focus is on supporting young people to more successfully connect with community, and engage them in flexible learning that fits their needs.
The service is offered across metropolitan Adelaide and in some regional areas.
- Holistic case management, identifying young people’s barriers and strengths to inform assessments, case plans and goal setting
- Delivery and support in accessing accredited alternative learning programs
- Advocacy and support in accessing services at Centacare and within the broader community
Who: Young people 6-19 years of age with an exemption of up to 25 years of age for young women who are pregnant or parenting. Young persons who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream schooling.
