Centacare’s Integrated Youth Substance Misuse Specialist Service (IYSMSS) is funded by SA Health and provides an integrated model of care for young people aged 12-24 years with substance misuse issues.

Two sobering up beds are available onsite at Stepney 24/7 for young people who are identified by police as needing a safe place to sober up.

Young people from metropolitan and regional areas with substance use issues are also able to access IYSMSS for residential intervention.

We have capacity for four clients at a time, staying for six to eight weeks, and provide a range of psychosocial interventions, family work, individual support, group sessions and life skills training. Individual plans are supported by links to community services and medical practitioners.

In addition, ISYMSS provides a range of outreach supports for young people and their families, prior to and post-residence.
