With a focus on children and youth, we offer a variety of health services to support individuals – and their families – who are living with drug and alcohol addiction, depression, mental illness and HIV/AIDS.
This support includes outreach, training and early intervention services where there is a risk of drug use, suicide and self-harm.
Case management, advocacy, counselling, referral, peer support, and accredited alternative learning options for youth who are disengaged or at risk of leaving mainstream schooling, is also provided.
We are leading the way in the delivery of drug and alcohol services, including in-home and residential detoxification and sobering-up programs.
From rehabilitation and mentoring to independent living assistance, we are committed to delivering the highest quality support.
This extends to Aboriginal communities in metropolitan and regional South Australia where Centacare is actively working to build capacity, resilience and reduce the risk of suicide.
Working alongside an existing worker, we can provide a specialist brief intervention provided to clients who have complex co-occurring mental health and Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) issues. Primary consultations can also include attendance at case conferences and appropriate referrals to relevant agencies.
Sometimes it just helps to have a friendly face to talk to. Counselling with Centacare is just that – our qualified counselling team is both professional and caring. They listen and advise.
