The Archdiocese of Adelaide had delegated the responsibility of the day-to-day management to the Executive Director who reports to the Executive of the Curia. The agency is divided into service units headed by a team of Executive Managers.

Executive of the Curia

The Executive of the Curia is the official body that governs entities within the Catholic Church. The Curia provides council to the Archbishop on the governance and administration of the Catholic Church Endowment Society Incorporation including church and ministry, education, and community services within the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide.

Executive Leadership Team

Leanne Haddad

Executive Director

With 29 years in community and social services, Leanne has extensive experience in child protection, family support services, policy and planning, service design, project management and executive roles. Joining Centacare in 2017, she transformed at-risk contracts into successful programs with expanded service scope and increased funding. Leanne’s background in psychology, anthropology, social work and project management drives her innovation in service provision. Guided in her leadership by the Principles of Catholic Social Teaching, Leanne embraces Centacare’s rich history to underpin our longevity.

Liam Connelly

Director | Corporate and Business Operations

Liam brings a unique skill set to Centacare, having spent the better part of two decades working in both corporate and frontline service roles across the not-for-profit, government and private sectors. With a background in both Psychology and Commerce, Liam applies a broad foundational knowledge to the roles he undertakes. Having previously worked as a Disability Support Worker at Centacare, Liam returned to us in 2019 to work in and eventually lead our disability services unit. He now leads our Corporate arm, and his work is focused on connecting corporate operations to our frontline services and in turn them to our clients.

Dr Jonathon Louth

Director | Strategy, Research and Innovation

Jonathon has extensive experience in policy development, research, education, and practical service design improvements. He has worked across government, community sectors, and academia in Australia and the UK, serving on numerous boards. He has presented research globally and published on topics with real-world applications, from everyday lived experience and community development to addressing complex social issues. He has also worked alongside Aboriginal communities in remote areas and undertaken fieldwork in Southeast Asia, contributing to his collaborative approach to program design and evaluation. Jonathon is an Associate Professor (adjunct) at Flinders University's Centre for Social Impact.

Gabby Jones

Care & Support Services Executive Manager

Gabby joined Centacare in 2023 as an experienced executive leader of operations and projects. With a long-standing career in the mental health and disability sectors, she has held various roles in project management, research, business development and operations management. Over the past eight years, Gabby has worked extensively in the NDIS space, driven by a passion to build capacity in people with disability. She has successfully turned around vulnerable programs through her expertise in business analysis and innovative approaches. Gabby’s leadership style empowers her staff to achieve their best while always keeping the customer front and centre.

Kim Formosa

Mental Health, Counselling & Wellbeing Services Executive Manager

Kim has 30 years’ experience in the non-government community, specifically within the Mental Health sector. Kim is a passionate and strong advocate for Mental Health workforce development and ongoing professional development in the Mental Health sector. Kim is a board member with the Mental Health Coalition of South Australia and is an experienced Trainer and Assessor in Certificate IV Mental Health and Diploma of Mental Health.

Amalie Mannik

Children’s Services Executive Manager

Amalie is a highly pragmatic and passionate social worker, with over a decade of experience in supporting families, carers, children and young people in the child protection and asylum seeker/refugee sectors. Amalie joined Centacare in 2018 and has experience in program development and growth, strategic planning, facilitating training, research projects, managing crises and is proud about leading teams in making a positive impact in community. She is driven by her values of social justice and human dignity, and is committed to innovation, collaboration, sustainability, best practice approaches, including trauma responsive practice and ethical decision-making.

Megan Welsh

Domestic Violence, Homelessness & Youth Services Executive Manager

Megan is a Social Worker with 25 years of experience in homelessness and domestic violence services. Her career encompasses both service delivery and leadership roles, with a significant focus on youth services. Megan demonstrates expertise in developing housing and support programs for young women and their children, homeless youth, and survivors of domestic and family violence. In her current role, Megan provides leadership, coordination, and strategic direction for the Domestic Violence, Homelessness, and Youth Services unit. She leverages her specialist skills to enhance community services, ensures compliance with service agreement contracts, and fosters stakeholder relationships. Additionally, Megan is an active member of the leadership teams within the new Homelessness and Domestic Violence Alliances in South Australia.

Advisory Council

Our Advisory Council was formed in March 2023 to highlight Centacare’s mission and identity within the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide and forge deeper connections with clergy, parishes, Catholic Education South Australia and Archdiocesan Services.
