Foster Care

We provide nurturing, secure and safe homes for South Australian children and young people aged 0-17 who are unable to live with their families.

In their words

Enjoy a quick glance at our foster carers' experiences.

Foster carers play a crucial and important role in supporting and caring for children when they have experienced grief, loss and separation from their families. They provide stability to children and nurture wonder, playfulness resilience and hope.

We welcome people of all ages, religions, ethnicities, cultures, abilities, gender identities and sexual orientations.

We are funded by Department for Child Protection.

Caring for Aboriginal children and young people

We are committed to maintaining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people's connection to their culture and identity.

We recruit, assess, train and support foster carers to provide safe warm and inviting homes to children aged 0-17 years of age across all types of care be it immediate, respite, long term and short-term care.

We provide culturally specific training and support to increase foster carers' knowledge of Aboriginal culture so that children can explore and develop a sense of pride in their culture and develop a strong cultural identity.
