Join us at the Sellicks Community Centre for weekly playgroups for caregivers and their children aged 0-5. Enjoy free, fun, stimulating and educational play activities, along with valuable information and resources.

Our community engagement workers lead both structured and unstructured play, fostering child development and creating opportunities for meaningful connections. You can expand your social activity experiences, meet other caregivers and their children and stay informed about upcoming local community events.

About our service

Creates a safe and welcoming environment for families experiencing disadvantage with an aim to build strengths, safety and well-being. Providing opportunity for early identification and support for children at risk of developmental and behavioural concerns. Activities designed to address physical, language, attachment, social, emotional and cognitive development through play, nature play games.

Sellicks Play & Connect is part of the Communities for Children Onkaparinga Initiative.

This service is funded by the Department of Social Services.

Our supports

  • Facilitating playgroups that offer safe and welcoming.
  • Increasing parenting capacity assisting with child’s healthy development.
  • Providing activity-based parenting support and educational experiences, focusing on children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.
  • Connecting with families and creating a safe and supportive environment for families to connect with other families.
  • Providing information and connection to community services, including referral and advocacy.

Eligibility

Our service is for the parents and caregivers of preschool children aged 0-5.

Cost

Sellicks Play & Connect is a FREE service.

Referrals

We accept:

  • self-referrals,
  • referrals from clinical and non-clinical service providers,
  • referrals from family members and friends.
