Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme

South Australia’s Domestic Violence Disclosure scheme provides an avenue for a person who may be at risk of domestic violence to access information about their partner or former partner. This can help them to make decisions about their safety and the future of the relationship

About our service

Information is gathered from South Australian Police (SAPOL) records, which may include:

  • Convictions for relevant offences (including interstate)
  • Relevant reports made to police and charges laid
  • Current and historical intervention orders
  • Breaches of intervention orders

This service is funded by Department for Human Services.

Our supports

The Domestic Violence Specialist will support the person receiving a disclosure, with safety and risk informed information, advice and any relevant referrals.

Our partners

  • Women’s Safety Services SA
  • Yarredi Services
  • Uniting Country SA

Eligibility

A request for information can be made by either:

  • the person who is feeling unsafe in their relationship or about their former partner; or
  • a person concerned about the welfare of someone they know.
