Limestone Coast Domestic Violence Service

The Limestone Coast Domestic Violence Service (LCDVS) is a sector partner of the Domestic and Family Violence Safety Alliance (DFVSA).

Alongside DFVSA, LCDVS is committed to delivering high-quality, client-focused domestic and family violence services in South Australia. Our goal is to ensure that victim-survivors (primarily women) and their children experiencing violence are safe and supported in their recovery and able to achieve sustainable housing and life outcomes. We work across the Limestone Coast, responding to client and community needs shaped by the unique places they live.

State-wide service delivery is integrated, consolidated and specialised, ensuring that families receiving support experience an improved journey towards safety.

About our service

LCDVS supports victim-survivors of current or recent domestic and/or Aboriginal family violence who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness. We provide support regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, cultural background, religious beliefs, physical/mental/psychosocial disability, or other diverse identities.

Our services are guided by the risk, safety, and identified needs of the victim-survivor, as well as the availability of, and access to, specialist support for their individual circumstances. In some cases, this may involve referring individuals to other services that can better provide safe and appropriate support to meet their needs. This ensures that all services, including accommodation, remain safe and accessible for all victim-survivors.

This service is funded by Department for Human Services.

Our service is underpinned by the following values:

  • safety first,
  • culturally responsive services,
  • transparency,
  • trauma informed,
  • person centred/child focused,
  • evidence-led,
  • specialised workforce,
  • inclusivity.
