Eating Disorder Support Service (EDSS)

We provide non-clinical, practical and personal support to individuals aged 12+ who may be experiencing an eating disorder or disordered eating, body image concerns and/or unhelpful relationships with food.

We provide holistic supports which can extend to carers, families, schools and other networks as appropriate.

About our service

We provide an understanding and inclusive environment for all while we foster person-centred practices by walking alongside individuals through their recovery journey.

Our team is comprised of highly skilled professionals, including Mental Health Workers and Peer Workers who can provide wrap-around support to:

  • explore an identity outside of an eating disorder,
  • reduce isolation,
  • build pathways to access the community,
  • provide hope,
  • facilitate referral pathways,
  • improve social connection,
  • facilitate access to services and resources,
  • build skills and capacity,
  • share knowledge and experiences,
  • empower you to overcome barriers and challenges,
  • promote self-advocacy.

This service is funded by The Office of the Chief Psychiatrist.
