Hannah Place provides support and on-site accommodation for six young women, aged up to 18, who are pregnant or parenting, to help maintain the bond between mother and baby.
Young people are offered on site housing with case management support, advice and advocacy towards pregnancy and parenting, personal growth and daily living skills working towards independence.
This service is funded by Department of Child Protection.
Each young woman will have her own self-contained unit. Staff provide daily support with pregnancy and parenting, guidance to maintain a household, information, referrals and advocacy. Groups are run in conjunction with specialist visiting services and sessions cover topics of interest for young women, such as healthy relationships, parenting, wellbeing, cooking and crafts.
Our service is for young women aged up to 18 years, who are eligible if they fall under the following categories:
Young women referred to the service must also demonstrate a willingness to participate in the service, understand its purpose and requirements and work towards living independently with their child.
