Our focus is working alongside parents/caregivers to strengthen parenting capacity, build healthy parent-child relationships and to improve family safety and wellbeing.
Kids in Focus is a voluntary service where workers provide non-judgemental, home-visiting support to families to ensure they are safe, strong and connected. Kids in Focus provide wrap around collaborative Case Management to assist families in identifying and meeting their goals. Support at Kids in Focus is trauma informed, culturally responsive, therapeutic and child focussed.
Kids in Focus does not replace traditional AOD supports, but rather works in collaboration with services and families to ensure recovery is embedded within the context of the family. Kids in Focus work intensively with families in the early stages, reducing supports as parenting confidence, family safety and family wellbeing increases.
This service is funded by Department of Social Services.
