We provide services to young people aged 15-25 who are at risk of homelessness or who are homeless within the northern Adelaide region.

Outer North Youth Homelessness Services

Outer North Youth Homelessness Service provides services to young people aged 15 and up to 25 years of age who are at risk of homelessness or who are homeless within the Playford, Gawler and Barossa council regions and offices are based in Elizabeth Park and Nuriootpa. 

About our service

The service is a part of the Adelaide Northwest Homelessness Alliance (ANWHA). All people who are seeking a service are asked to call 1800 569 086.

This service is funded by Department of Human Services and through the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement. 

Youth Services Elizabeth & Barossa 

Case Managers work with young people and provide support for all areas of their life that which may include independent living skills, navigating housing options, family reunification, connecting to education, employment, health matters, assistance to gain belongings, and linking in with other community services in the local area.

Eligibility

Young people aged between 18 and 25 years who are receiving an independent Centrelink income and who are at risk of becoming homeless or who are homeless.  

Cost

NIL for support. If in accommodation, payment or rent each week including utilities.

Referrals

Referral sources may include but not be limited to:

  • self-referrals,
  • Homeless Connect SA,
  • other NHHA Services including Homelessness and DFV Alliances,
  • government & non-government organisations,
  • family and friends,
  • schools,
  • healthcare facilities.

Carlow Place

Carlow Place is a residential facility that offers a home like environment with 24/7 on site supported accommodation provided for 8 young people in the Elizabeth area who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Youth Workers provide a safe caring environment and work on the needs of the young people from a plan developed with the young person and youth workers.  Youth Workers monitor and maintains the young person’s wellbeing, creating a safe place to come home to, guides the interactions with other young people living at Carlow Place and build rapport with other young people to build trusting relationships

Eligibility 

Carlow Place accept referrals for young people aged 15-17 and can be in the process of applying for Centrelink.

Cost

Rent each week including utilities, with main meals provided.
